  5. Understand and Analyze Context: For you to be able a score a 6 on this section the student needs to have a lot of sources for a lot of fields inside a problem. With this, you enlarge the seriousness of the topic.
    Understand and Analyze Argument: The report needs to to have clear conclusions, explanations and a variety of evidence.
    Evaluate Sources and Evidence: The report needs to have evidence of the relevance of all the sources. The sources are specifically elected based on the objective and topic.
    Understand and Analyze Perspective: There are a lot of perspectives that are respected and explained. They all are connected and have relevant evidence with it.
    Apply Conventions: The sources are all cited correctly. The bibliography is correct and is next to the information selected from it.
    Apply Conventions: It has a good word election that is able to communicate clearly the objective. The style needs to be accurate for your topic and audience you are trying to inform.

  6. In the Individual Research Report (IRR) there are 4 rows with an specific content area or proficiency. Row 1, Understand and Analyze Context; the report identifies an overly broad or simplistic area of investigation. Row 2, Understand and Analyze Argument; the report restates or misstates information from sources. Row 3, Evaluate Sources and Evidence; the report identifies evidence from chosen sources, simplistic and illogical. Row 4, Understand and Analyze Perspective; the report identifies few or oversimplified perspectives from sources. Maximum points are 6.

    2. Understand and Analyze Argument - Expects understanding of the source's validity, through explanation and purposeful conclusions.
    3. Evaluate Sources and Evidence - Expects thorough evaluation of the source's credibility and relevant selection of evidence for purposeful use.
    4. Understand and Analyze Perspective - Expects discussion of various perspectives and making connections between them.

  9. Understand and analyze context focuses that the student specifies the area of investigation and that the research question is understandable.

    Understand and analyze argument is about understanding the validity of an argument through reasoning.

    Evaluate sources and evidences is about judging accurately the credibility of a source.

    Understand and analyze perspective is about being able to identify various perspectives and draw connections with the text.

    There are 2 rubrics about conventions; the first one is about citing sources correctly with a consistent style (MLA) (APA).

    The second one is about grammar and if the reader can understand the report.

    2.- Understand and Analyze Argument- the report shows the comprehension and reasoning of the student, as well as the validity of the sources.

    3.- Evaluate Source and Evidence- there's a selection included in the research of relevant and credible information/evidence from the selected appropriate sources.

    4.- Understand and Analyze Perspective- there's a wide range of different perspectives discussed in the report among other relevant connections between these.

    5.- Apply Conventions- the sources used are accurately cited, and the bibliography references the sources with the appropriate consistent style.

    6.- the report is clear and the reader is able to get the point and comprehend it. The written style is appropriate for academic audience.

  13. 1. Understand and Analyze Context: The topic or issue in research needs to be clear and concise, however, at the same time, it has to be complex and analyzed widely to be able to view its importance, this being done through the use of various resources.

    2. Understand and Analyze Argument: It is key that the students understand the arguments they present and their reliability. Deliberate explanations and conclusions along with evidence must be mentioned.

    3. Evaluate Sources and Evidence: The sources and evidence used have to be evaluated/explained and correctly selected for them to be able to support the argument. That they are relevant and accurate is needed.

    4. Understand and Analyze Perspective: The perspectives presented are required to be multiple and properly linked for the report to be organized. Showing various angles regarding the topic will help the reader see the way in which the author proves its point.

    5. Apply Conventions: It is important to always use the right format and correct citing for the references used, this includes APA, MLA Format or Chicago style. The bibliography should match the sources used in the text.

    6. Apply Conventions: The writing style used should be adequate and with no gramatical errors, with this achieving a clear communication of the topic.

    Understand and Analyze Context: This section evaluates the focus of the writer's area of investigation and analyzes the specificity and narrowness of such in order to check that the topic's complexities are explored thoroughly by the writer.

    Understand and Analyze Argument: This section evaluates the writer's understanding of the validity and reasoning of the sources used in their work. These aspects are checked to see if they are addressed by the writer and have a purpose in strengthening the writer's work.

    Evaluate Sources and Evidence: This section evaluates the credibility, relevance and proper utilization of the works cited by the writer in order to further give credibility to their own argument(s). The purpose and use of the sources are evaluated in relation to the point of inquiry.

    Understand and Analyze Perspective: This section evaluates the comprehension and variety in the range of perspectives used, analyzed and synthesized in the work of the author; these different points of views conveyed through arguments are checked to identify their contrasts, similarities and overall contribution to the conversation of the topic and used to further the claims of the writer.

    Apply Conventions (1): This section evaluates the properness in the attribution and citations of sources used in the paper and list of references/bibliography. There is consistency and accuracy in giving credit to these sources and it attempts to verify if key elements or style is present throughout all citations.

    Apply Conventions (2): This section evaluates the grammar and writing style used by the writer in relation to the appropriate boundaries of such for an academic audience; in short, it checks if communication is clear through the writing and the way in which it is written is fit for academia.
